This site will close on January 27. Please use the Fws forums for posting information related to -[|Fws|]- HC // Fun. Once again, thanks everyone for being a part of the HC community. It has been nice knowing all of you. I will still be around at Fws and UnrealSoftware.de if you want to get in touch with me.

After discussions with Fws we have decided to let Fws take over HC // Fun. It was a difficult decision for me since the server has been around for five years now. The shrinking HC community and my lack of time finally tipped the scale. My hope is that HC // Fun will live on under its new name -[|Fws|]- HC // Fun and attract more players since it will be integrated into the bigger Fws community. All pinned levels have been removed. Moderators and admins will have to re-apply at the Fws forum. I want to thank everyone who has visited the server or the forum. A special thanks to the people that have volunteered as admins and moderators, helping new players and punishing cheaters. Without you this had not been possible!

HC // Fun is down due to a problem with the VPS. We are working on a solution. Hopefully it will be fixed within a couple of days. Hotchills will be a bit unstable for a few days. I am upgrading the OS. Edit:The Fws servers are affected as well. Here is a link to the corresponding thread in their forum: http://fwsserver.forumotions.net/t4027-regarding-serversIt might contain more recent information. Edit:HC // Fun is back online! I am using a temporary host, so it probably lags more than usual, sorry.

There will be another server switch later today, probably. The IP address of the new server will be 151.80.111.205. HC // Fun will be down for an hour.

I have made a small update to dm_dust. The new CS2D release, 1.0.0.2, does not draw wall or object shadows on background tiles (#0), so some parts of the map looked rather flat and boring. This has now been fixed by filling those parts with sand tiles.

Today is a sad day for me and for the CS2D community. I just found out that Kenpachi, my long time friend and the hoster of Fws and HC has passed away. First time I met him was in 2010 when he played at HC // Construction for a while. His speciality was AWP sniping, which he was very good at. After I closed down my server I still bumped in to him on other servers. We had a lot of interesting talks. Some time later he started Fws. I played on the servers and helped him out with some scripting. When I opened HC // Fun he generously offered to host it. Even though I never met him in real life, I know he was a friendly and generous person. Good bye my friend. Thanks for everything. CS2D 1.0.0.1 was released yesterday. The server will be upgraded later, probably in the evening. Sorry for the inconvenience. Update: The server has been upgraded.

The IP address has changed, see Server Information on the left hand side. The reason is that the hoster has changed. The server is located in France.

DC just released 0.1.2.6. Unfortunately, it breaks the script. DC will make a new release to fix the problems within a few days. Until then, the server will be running on 0.1.2.5. So downgrade your CS2D to 0.1.2.5 if you want to play.

HC is up on a trial server. If the trial works out, it will be permanent. Note that the IP address is different from the old one.
