So far I took hiding under a tree as camping but some people tells me that it's simply hiding which is a tactic.
So, could someone please clarify this?

Camping its a style of a game , but sometimes its a boring ..(

Camping - You can punish player if someone hides in tp and you cannot kill him due to this. When all players are alive and one guy hide in tree its kind of tactic and it shouldnt be punished till trees on map exist. If hidding in tree isnt availible, remove them.

Yeah but in most of the servers and even in most of the FPS games, these kind of hidings are considered as camping.

Its told by players whos ego is like "Omg noob camper killled me, i am best. Stupid camper, vote him" but fact is that you have to always check bushes etc. If camping like that wouldnt be allowed, everybody would delete place like those from game to avoid camping. I play cs2d since 2006 and they didnt remove bushes so.. (they were only changed a little bit)

Camping isn't allowed

I know that, I am just asking if hiding under a tree counts as camping.
-
If someone is coming behind you and you hide under the tree just so you can ambush them coming from behind; It's fine, however if you hide under the tree for a long time WAITING for someone to come; that's camping.
-
IMO, camping under a tree doesn't count as camping. Simply because I use this tactic all the time. I call it palm hack :3

Not sure if sarcastic or serious...

What if i stay not under palm, but for example around the corner or in remote places such as between boxes in B spot?

Oh my. Memories.
Palm hack is only allowed to be used by the admins (and me).

I always slap anyone, who is hiding under the tree :P

I think I got my answer from Nighthawk:
